Rizwan Hamid MD, MBBS, FRCSEd, FRCS

Rizwan Hamid is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at University College London Hospitals and London Spinal Injuries Unit, Stanmore, UK. He specializes in Neurourology & Female and Reconstructive Urology. His research involved investigating fertility problems in spinal cord injury men at the London Spinal Injuries Unit, Stanmore. He did his fellowship in reconstructive urology at the Institute of Urology, London.

His areas of interest are male and female voiding dysfunction, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder syndrome, bladder dysfunction, management of complex bladder injuries after abdominal surgery, treatment of complicated urinary tract infections and chronic pelvic pain syndrome. He has a keen interest in bladder dysfunction after neurological diseases. He is heavily involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students both nationally and internationally. He is regularly invited to lecture on courses run by BAUS, EAU, and ICS. He is on the teaching faculty of the European School of Urology and has been invited to give lectures at various International Conferences. He is invited to review articles for most of Urology Journals
