Richard Phillip Usatine MD

Dr. Richard Usatine is the Medical Director of a Skin Clinic for the underserved in the UT Health San Antonio Department of Family and Community Medicine. He has been recognized throughout his career for bringing quality health care to underserved communities and teaching and mentoring student physicians to provide compassionate care to the underprivileged. He developed two student-run clinics in San Antonio with a group of UT Health San Antonio medical students to give students a chance to express their desire to serve their community. Dr. Usatine received a B.A. in Chemistry from Williams College in 1978, graduating summa cum laude, and his MD from Columbia University before completing a Faculty Fellowship at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
