Renate D. Savich MD

Savich joined the faculty of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Albuquerque, in 1988 as assistant professor of pediatrics and of obstetrics and gynecology in 1990. She rose through the ranks, becoming an associate professor of pediatrics and of obstetrics and gynecology there in 1995, and a professor of pediatrics there in 2009.

She is board-certified in pediatrics and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Perinatal Research Society, Western Society of Pediatric Research, and American Thoracic Society, to name a few. She is the author or co-author of more than 17 peer-reviewed articles, presented more than 50 abstracts and has been invited to make more than 60 research presentations.
