Ravi S. Hira, M.D., is director of Acute Cardiac Services and Cardiac Catheterization Service at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle. Dr. Hira treats patients with heart attacks, coronary and peripheral artery disease, and performs cardiac catheterization and placement of stents.
Dr. Hira earned his M.D. from Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai, India. He completed his internal medicine residency, and cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
His clinical interests include interventional cardiology and stents, acute cardiac care and quality improvement. His research interests include interventional cardiology and cardiac catheterization, health services research and quality of care and outcomes research. Dr. Hira is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle.
