Dr Randolph Corteling was appointed Head of Research in April 2015 having been a senior member of the research team since 2007. Prior to joining ReNeuron, Dr Corteling started his scientific career as a Research Associate at Novartis, before undertaking a PhD in Medical and Surgical Sciences at The University of Nottingham. He then spent 3 years in Canada as a Heart and Stroke Foundation Fellow before joining ReNeuron in 2007. During his career, Dr Corteling has developed a number of new discoveries along with a thorough understanding of cell and stem cell biology with a particular interest and expertise in the role of extracellular vesicles and exosomes. After his PhD, he spent three years as a Heart and Stroke Foundation postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary, Canada.
