Dr. Ramsey Al-Hakim is currently working as a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at Scripps Health Corporate Office in the USA. He graduated MD as an Assistant Professor and the Director of Inpatient Services in the Charles T. Dotter Department of Interventional Radiology at Oregon Health & Science University. Ramsey attended Georgia Tech as an undergraduate where he obtained his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. He then obtained his medical degree at the University of California, Los Angeles where he stayed to complete his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and served as chief resident. He completed his training with a fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.

Dr. Al-Hakim’s primary clinical and research interest is in the field of venous thromboembolic disease, with a focus on the biomechanics of veins and venous stents. He is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Auxetics, a start-up focused on the development of a venous stent to address the unique biomechanics of veins.
