Raman K. Malhotra, MD, was raised in St. Louis, where he attended Lindbergh High School before enrolling in the six-year accelerated BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City for his undergraduate and medical education. Malhotra completed his neurology residency and sleep medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is board-certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine.
Malhotra has previously been a faculty member at the University of Michigan and Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He was elected as President of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) for the 2021-2022 term and has been on the AASM Board of Directors since 2015. He is passionate about educating medical students, residents, and fellows about sleep medicine. Malhotra has edited two textbooks on sleep medicine and authored numerous chapters and peer-reviewed articles in the field.
