Dr. Raffaella Greco is a hematologist at the Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, directed by Professor Fabio Ciceri. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan in 2008, he specialized in Hematology at the same university in 2014.
From a clinical point of view, Dr. Greco takes care of the assistance of hematological patients in their treatment pathways at the Unit. She deals in particular with the clinical management of patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants for onco-hematological and autoimmune diseases. Finally, among the various skills developed by the doctor, we highlight the use of clinical ultrasound in emergencies, for which she has attended several refresher courses.
With regard to research, clinical and translational activities, Dr. Greco is particularly dedicated to: allogeneic HSC transplantation, biomarkers and immunoreconstitution after allogeneic HSC transplantation, and HSC transplantation in autoimmune diseases.
Furthermore, the doctor collaborates with EBMT (European Blood and Marrow Transplantation group) and GITMO (Italian Bone Marrow Group) and is an active member of EBMT, in particular of ADWP (AutoImmune Disease Working Party) and CTIWP (Cellular Therapy & Immunobiology Working Party). He is the author and co-author of publications in national and international scientific journals. He constantly participates in national and international courses and conferences in the sector.
