Phylliss M. Chappell MD

Dr. Chappell is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and is board certified in Family Medicine, in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and in Radiology, with Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology. Dr. Chappell has authored presentations and exhibits at regional and national meetings, including the Center to Advance Palliative Care National Seminar 2013, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Annual Assemblies in 2014 and 2015, the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America, and the Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly of the National Medical Association.
Dr. Chappell is a recipient of the 2014 American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Paper Investigators Award, Hearst Foundation Award, nominated for the 2016 The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, McGovern Medical School Women Faculty Forum Excellence Award, a recipient of a 2015-2016 The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, McGovern Medical School Dean's Teaching Excellence Award, and nominated for 2017 Physician of the Year at the Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital.
