Peter Edward Weimersheimer MD

Peter Weimersheimer is an emergency physician and the Division Chief of Emergency Medicine the University of Vermont Medical Center. He is the founder and Director of the UVM Emergency Ultrasound Program, Course Director of a 4th year medical student elective in point of care ultrasound, and is the Course Director for UVM regional ultrasound training programs.

Peter is also the Regional Director of Clinical Ultrasound for 5 regional hospitals and is developing a regional ultrasound QA and credentialing program for community EPs in northern Vermont/New York State. He has over 20 years of experience at clinical ultrasound and is one of the inaugural ULA fellows. His interests include thoracic ultrasound, ultrasound administration, and ultrasound in resource limited settings. However, he unfortunately is happy to give his biased input on any topic.
