Pejman Ghanouni MD, PhD

Dr. Ghanouni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Stanford Medical School. He is a diagnostic radiologist who specializes in MR imaging, and his research centers around the development of clinical applications of MR guided high intensity focused ultrasound (MRgHIFU). He is using this technology clinically to treat patients with painful metastases to bone, uterine fibroids, essential tremor, facet joint arthritis, and prostate cancer. Recently, he has adapted this non-invasive technology to treat soft tissue tumors, including in the pediatric population.
