Peggy Piascik, the 2013-14 president of the American Association of Colleges and Pharmacy (AACP) and current professor of pharmacy practice and science at the University of Kentucky, was the guest speaker for the sixth annual Sebok Pharmacy Lecture established by the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy. Piascik delivered her lecture, “Pharmacy Education: Preparing Pharmacists for a Lifetime of Patient Care,” in the ONU Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015.

Dr. Piascik’s areas of teaching expertise include women's health, over-the-counter products including dietary supplements and herbs, communications skills and integrated skills in pharmacy practice. Dr. Piascik has spoken extensively at CE conferences on the topics of new drugs, personalized medicine, and dietary supplements. She teaches a problem-based elective course in the area of herbal and dietary supplements and co-coordinates an elective course in behavior modification coaching. Dr. Piascik was the administrative coordinator for the Nontraditional PharmD Option from its inception in 1988 through its termination in 2005. The program has graduated more than 250 students.
