Peggy Mann is the Ambulatory POCC and a Clinics Administration Program Manager, as well as, the Clinical Laboratory liaison to clinics in the health system. Peggy’s clinic oversight extends to 400 miles from the Galveston Medical School campus, including all 3 campuses, and with more than 100 clinics. She’s been with UTMB for 35 years. Professionally volunteering with AACC and CLSI, Peggy is the current AACC CPOCT Executive Board Secretary. She is halfway through the three-year term on the AACC Clinical Laboratory Scientist Council.

With the professional organization CLSI, she is the CLSI Vice-Chair of the POC Expert Panel, serves on a five-year CLSI-CDC Project Expert Panel studying ‘Improving the Impact of Laboratory Practice Guidelines’, and is a member of several Document Development Committees. Peggy is a member and co-organizer of meetings with two POCC Groups; for the Southwest Regional POCC Group, she is helping to organize the 2017 annual meeting to be held in Texas as is the 2017 President. Peggy received her B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and her M.S. from the University of Houston.
