Dr. Paul Manson is a professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Manson currently serves as director of the plastic surgery residency program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Manson has had a distinguished career in craniofacial and reconstructive surgery, with over 435 peer-reviewed articles and over $10 million in research grants, awards, and endowments to his credit. His principal contributions include establishing original classification and treatment for frontal bone fractures; classification of the midface, orbital and nasoethmoidal fractures; and classification and algorithm for the treatment of facial defects from skin cancer.

He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry and his medical degree from Northwestern University. Dr. Manson then completed residencies in general surgery at New England Baptist Hospital. He completed his training in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins and has been on faculty since that time. He was the director of the Plastic Surgery Service at the University of Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Services Systems (Shock Trauma Unit) from 1978 to 1996.
