Patricia A. Treadwell MD, FAAD, FAAP

Treadwell serves as a critical advisor to the dean of IU School of Medicine on matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion spanning all of the school’s mission areas. In this role, Treadwell partners with all of the EADs as well as the Office of Diversity Affairs as they develop plans to promote diversity and inclusiveness, including cultural competency and humility training, curricular reform, revising competency assessment procedures, clarifying professionalism expectations and potential consequences of Honor Code violations, including acts of racism and bigotry.

Dr. Treadwell is board certified in Pediatrics and Dermatology and a Fellow of the AAP. She is a graduate of Cornell University School of Medicine and completed residencies in Pediatrics and Dermatology at the Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Treadwell is President-elect for the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD). She is a member of the recently formed EDI committee for the SPD. She is the past Chairperson of the AAP Dermatology Section.
