Parveen Yaqoob BA, MA, DPhil

Professor Parveen Yaqoob is School Director of Research for Chemistry Food & Pharmacy, and Deputy Head of the Department of Food & Nutritional Sciences. Her area of research expertise is dietary modulation of immune function, inflammation and vascular disease. She is currently serving on the Steering Group of the BBSRC’s Diet and Health Research Industry Club (DRINC), responsible for awarding up to £10m of diet and health-related research funding in the UK between 2013 and 2015, and she also serves on a British Nutrition Foundation Task Force on Diet and Cardiovascular Disease. Her research is funded by Research Councils, charities and industry and she serves on Editorial Boards of a number of journals.
