Paolo Zerbinati Having gained his medical degree from the University of Turin, Italy, in 1991, and specialization in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 1996, Dr. Zerbinati worked in the orthopedic field, and for the last 15 years has gained experience in neuro orthopedics including time spent in Philadelphia in the service of Neuro-orthopaedics surgery directed by Professor Mary Ann Keenan. Since 2001 he has been Chief of the Neuroorthopaedics Service at MultiMedica Castellanza, Italy, and a lecturer in the Plastic Surgery Department of the University of Milan, Italy. His areas of expertise include comprehensive management of musculoskeletal/orthopedic problems in people with neurological disorders; stroke; traumatic brain injury; spinal cord injury; polio; cerebral palsy; multiple sclerosis; nerve injuries; muscle dystrophia; Charcot Marie Tooth; common orthopedic problems treated in neurological patients; correction of deformities of the arms or legs; and removal of heterotopic ossification (bone). He works in the Field of Functional Surgery in spasticity and works in collaboration with the national and international centers for the development of the neuro-orthopedic in Italy. He is an active member of the Italian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Italian Society of Hand Surgery, Italian Society of foot Surgery Italian Society of Analysis of Movement in Clinic, and International affiliate American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
