Mark Andrew Pereira is a Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of Minnesota. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology and Master of Science at the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on chronic disease etiology and prevention, especially type 2 diabetes, and ranges from small controlled trials to large-scale epidemiologic studies, His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health for the past two decades.
