Oksana Prokopchuk-gaukMD, FRCPC
Dr. Oksana Prokopchuk-Gauk joined the Saskatoon Health Region in May 2016 as a Transfusion Medicine Physician and Clinical Hematologist. She is a University of Saskatchewan alumnus, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology in 2006, Doctor of Medicine in 2009, and core Internal Medicine residency training in 2012. Dr. Prokopchuk-Gauk is a graduate from the University of Calgary Hematology Residency Program in 2015 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Internal Medicine and Hematology. Most recently, she completed a 1-year fellowship program in Transfusion Medicine at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Her research interests include optimization of transfusion practice and transfusion reaction recognition, reporting practices, and rates.
