Nizar M. Tannir MD, FACP

Nizar M. Tannir is a Professor in the Department of Genitourinary Medical Oncology and in the Division of Cancer Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the American University of Beirut. Dr. Tannir has conducted numerous clinical trials in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and is an expert on rare kidney cancers. Dr. Tannir has authored more than 150 original manuscripts and has received numerous awards, including the Gerald P. Bodey Award for Excellence in Education and the Melvin L. Samuels Award for Excellence in Patient Care.
