Nicolaus Kröger, MD, is the Medical Director of the Department of Stem Cell Transplantation at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany, as well as a Professor of Medicine at the University of Hamburg.
After obtaining an MD from the University of Hamburg, Dr Kröger pursued specialized training in Hematology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, achieving Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Following residency in the Department of Hematology and Oncology, he assumed the role of Senior Consultant in Bone Marrow Transplantation at the University of Hamburg.
Dr Kröger has chaired and been a President of the Scientific Council of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) and has been Chairman of the Chronic Malignancies Working Party (CMWP). He has also been a Board Member of the German Stem Cell Transplantation Group.
