Nicholas (nick) J. Jouriles MD, FACEP

Nicholas Jouriles, MD, is Professor and Chair of Emergency Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University and Vice Chair of Faculty Development, Emergency Medicine at Summa Health and US Acute Care Solutions. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Case Western Reserve University. He trained at Dartmouth Hitchcock and Denver Health Medical Centers. He has served on or chaired many committees for CORD, ACEP, IFEM, and SAEM and as an ABEM examiner. He is the past President of ACEP and the current President of the ED Benchmarking Alliance.

His publications focus on the education and administrative aspects of emergency medicine. His textbook chapter features include diseases of the myocardium and pericardium and oncologic emergencies. Many of his previous trainees and mentees now occupy significant leadership positions in EM.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Case Western University. He trained at Dartmouth and Denver Health.
