Dr. Nicholas Sgaglione is Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the School of Medicine and at North Shore - Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He holds the title of Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and serves as the Program Director for the North Shore- LIJ Department of Orthopedic Surgery Residency Training Program. Dr. Sgaglione graduated in 1983 from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he also completed a surgical internship. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and a postgraduate fellowship in sports medicine and knee, shoulder and elbow arthroscopy and reconstruction at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Los Angeles.
