Nemesha Desai

Dr Nemesha Desai is a consultant dermatologist at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Trust and clinical lecturer at King’s College London. She completed her medical training with honours at King’s College London, specialty training in dermatology in London with sub-speciality experience in medical dermatology at University of Miami and postgraduate training in medical education at University of London. She was awarded CCT dermatology in Nov 2009.

Her interests include general and medical dermatology, acne, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis, skin cancer, moles and medical education. She established and runs a large tertiary clinic for patients with complex acne and hidradenitis at Guy’s Hospital, is lead for GP education at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology and BAD (British Association of Dermatologists) education subcommittee representative for GP education. Her clinical service works closely with the department of genetics and molecular medicine at King’s College London assessing genetic factors in hidradenitis. She is part of a European panel developing clinical guidelines in this area.
