Naomi Jay is a women's health nurse practitioner in the UCSF Dysplasia Clinic. She specializes in the detection and diagnosis of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the anal canal and also helped pioneer the use of the diagnostic tool, colposcope, for HPV-related diseases. Jay also participates in HPV-related research, including the natural history of HPV-related anal disease in men and women, treatment studies using vaccines, infrared coagulation and traditional Chinese medicine.
Jay completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Subsequently, she earned her graduate degree in nursing, specializing in women's health, at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals.
