Monica Saumoy MD, MS

Monica Saumoy, MD, MS is an interventional gastroenterologist and will be starting this fall as a member of the advanced endoscopy group at Penn Medicine in the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Dr. Saumoy completed all of her training at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center. She has been honored with the Distinguished Housestaff award during her residency training and served as Chief Gastroenterology Fellow during her Gastroenterology fellowship. She also obtained a Masters Degree in Health Policy and Economics from Weill Cornell Graduate School. She has recently completed her subspecialty fellowship training in advanced endoscopy at Weill Cornell.

Dr. Saumoy specializes in biliary and pancreatic diseases, minimally invasive endoscopic procedures and endoscopic management of obesity. Her research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
