American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) STAR Certificate Program - Suturing is organized by American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and will be held from Jul 24 - 25, 2021 at ASGE Institute for Training and Technology (IT&T), Downers Grove, Illinois, United States of America. This is a Hybrid Event.

Target Audience:
Participants are expected to have a certain level of skill and experience for course success. Enrollees should have: 
• A minimum of two years in practice post-fellowship
• Performed at least 500 upper and lower endoscopies independently, and currently performing colonoscopy as part of daily practice
• Proficiency in basic endoscopy, hemostasis, and injection techniques

Description:
Endoscopic suturing is an invaluable skill for a therapeutic endoscopist. It facilitates defect closure and stent fixation, and with advanced techniques opens the window to endobariatric procedures. Suturing is an instrumental tool that expands our armamentarium to provide solutions for the complex challenging clinical problems that we grapple with on a daily basis.

Learning Objectives:
• Recognize the indications for suturing and the types of suturing patterns 
• Apply suturing techniques of the various fundamental suturing patterns 
• Troubleshoot for common problems with suturing
