Mohamed Hobeldin MBBch, MSc, MD,FRCS

Dr. Mohamed Hobeldin is currently the Chair of the Surgical Institute at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. He is also a practicing consultant pediatric surgeon and pediatric urologist. Dr. Hobeldin graduated from Cairo University in Egypt. He had his basic pediatric surgical training in Cairo University Hospitals. He then went to Glasgow, Scotland and obtained further training in Pediatric Surgery and he was subsequently put on the specialist register for pediatric surgery in the UK after obtaining his intercollegiate board exam. He also went to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, which is affiliated with the University of the Southern California, and obtained two fellowships in pediatric surgery and pediatric urology.

Dr. Hobeldin started the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City 14 years ago and he has developed it to become the leading pediatric surgical department in the United Arab Emirates. The division currently deals with almost all the pediatric surgery cases including the most complicated ones. The division now has a team of skilled pediatric surgeons cover the whole scope of pediatric surgery including neonatal surgery, pediatric urology, and oncological surgery in addition to general pediatric surgery. The division has a strong interest in minimally invasive surgery in thoracic and abdominal cases including neonates.
