Mirren is a trained surgeon with expertise in understanding unmet need in healthcare provision and developing integrated solutions to address these needs, particularly in the areas of cardiovascular and orthopaedics.
Mirren is passionate about advancing the adoption of technology by healthcare professionals and patients, to improve connectivity and consistency of care to optimise health outcomes.
Mirren is currently a senior member of JHI, an innovation and incubation team building and testing solutions that engage, educate and empower consumers and transform healthcare delivery. Prior to this role, Mirren was a key member of the healthcare practice at The Boston Consulting Group in London, advising pharma, medtech, payers and providers. Over the past few years, he has also been a key advisor for a number of healthcare start-ups in the mHealth space.
Mirren qualified as a doctor at St. George’s Medical School, University of London, during which time he undertook research on innovative surgical technologies with Lord Ara Darzi at Imperial College, London. He also received an MBA from London Business School.
