Michiel W.m. Van Den Brekel MD, PhD

Michiel W.M. Van Den Brekel has been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2000. He specializes in the treatment of patients with head and neck cancer: tumors in the mucous membranes, sinus cavities of the nose and throat, salivary glands, skin, and thyroid. Within our department, they aim to deliver the best quality of patient care focused on recovery while retaining as much quality of life as possible. Next to his work in patient care, he is involved in clinical and translational research. He also focuses on rehabilitation and survivorship in his research. They train physician assistants looking to specialize in ENT or oral surgery, as well as fellows in the field of head and neck surgery.
