Michelle L. Seguin MD, FAAFP

Dr. Seguin is a board-certified family medicine physician, educator, gardener, and mama. She believes in a lifestyle-driven approach to health that focuses on supporting the individual, family, and community. Much of her advocacy and teaching is centered on the premise that food is medicine. She encourages local & seasonal eating, a colorful & diverse variety of plants, home cooking, and traditional foodways as means to a healthful, fulfilling life.

After 5 years in rural family medicine, a produce prescription program changed her life forever. She left her practice and transitioned into community health where her passion is connecting food systems and health systems through innovative programming. Dr. Seguin’s speaking and teaching interests include topics related to food is medicine, culinary medicine, social determinants of health, and nature therapy.
