Dr. Sheehan obtained his medical degree and completed his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in dermatology. He was awarded the top graduating resident award for outstanding performance. He has developed national expertise in the area of contact dermatitis and was recently elected to serve as the Vice-President of the American Contact Dermatitis Society. Dr. Sheehan serves as the director of the Patch Testing and Contact Dermatitis Clinic in Columbus, Indiana. He is a national thought leader in contact dermatitis and has authored numerous papers and chapters on this subject in conjunction with being a national speaker and holding positions as gratis faculty in the department of dermatology at Indiana University School of Medicine, clinical faculty at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, and clinical faculty Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine Clinical Faculty. He also serves in an advisory position on the Dermatitis editorial board.
