Michael J. Taravella MD

Dr. Taravella specializes in the treatment of cornea disorders, cataract and refractive surgery/vision correction. He is the Director of Cornea and Refractive surgery at the UCHealth Eye Center and Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is an American Board of Ophthalmology certified surgeon and specializes in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Taravella is the former medical director of the pioneering ClearVision Laser Centers and is the only AMO VISX trainer for physicians in the region. After completing medical school at the University of Colorado and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas, he received specialized fellowship training at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Taravella has been on our faculty for over two decades.
