Dr. Michael Atlan, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor, at Pierre et Marie Curie Faculty of Medicine, with a permanent position in Tenon Hospital (Assistance Publique-Hopitaux de Paris) in an integrated Breast Cancer Center. The former head of the department of Pontoise Hospital, he now leading the Unit of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and pursuing an academic career within his institution. His team practices aesthetic surgery with a great interest in breast and facelift surgery. Dr. Atlan's team has the responsibility for post-bariatric surgery, dermatologic, thoracic, abdominal wall, and pelvic post-oncological surgery defects. He did his residency in France between Lille and Paris (Pr Lantiéri Team) and he got a position for a Microsurgical and Hand Surgery Fellowship in Montreal and a Breast Reconstruction Fellowship at the University Of British Columbia, in Vancouver. Michael Atlan's areas of expertise are - microsurgical breast reconstructions (Free flaps and Lymphedema) - implant-based reconstruction - Aesthetic innovation - the evaluation of plastic surgery innovations, especially for breast surgery (Acellular Dermal or Peritoneal Matrix, anti ptosis system aka Orbix...)
