Melodie S. Young MSN, APRN, AGNP-C

Melodie S. Young, MSN, RN, ANP-C, is a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner at Mindful Dermatology and Modern Research Associates in Dallas, TX. She is the former Director of the Baylor Psoriasis Center and National Psoriasis Tissue Bank. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington, with dual certifications as an Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She currently serves as President-Elect of The Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and has served as the President of Dermatology Nurses' Association (DNA), in addition to the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners' Leadership for the Dermatology Special Interest Group.

Young has served on the medical advisory board of the National Psoriasis Foundation and the Board of the International Psoriasis Council. Melodie has more than 30 years of experience, primarily in medical dermatology, and has been published in several major medical and nursing journals. She has served as faculty for nursing, medical, and patient-focused presentations and served as a sub-investigator in more than 50 clinical trials for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hyperhidrosis, alopecia, rosacea, pruritus, and cosmetic treatments.
