Melissa E. Parsons MD

Dr. Melissa Parsons attended medical school at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and then completed her emergency medicine residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville. She currently works as Assistant Program Director at the UFCOM- Jacksonville. She is also the editor-in-chief and co-creator of sheMD.org, a blog for medical students and residents across all fields of medicine discussing gender and medical education. Her professional interests include the use of simulation, medical education, physician wellness, and gender equity in medicine. She is currently completing the ALiEM Faculty Incubator Course.
