Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ceyhan graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1981 . He completed his residency of pediatrics in 1985. He had PhD degree in Nutrition and Metabolism Unite between 1985-1987. He had done his military service and obligatory duty in Adana Military Hospital and Ankara Etimesgut Hospital respectively between 1985-1989. He started to study as a fellow in Hacettepe University Department of Pediatric Infectious Disease . He had professor title in 1995. He studied in Department of Pediatric Infectious Disease Cincinnati Childrens? Hospital , in USA in 1998.

Dr Ceyhan had first price in Gürsoy Pediatrics Foundation Cihat Tahsin Gürson Research Awards in 1985, second price in 1986. In 1988 he won the encouragement award of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). He is studying in the fields of serologic and clinical effects of immunizations, molecular diagnostics of infectious diseases, epidemiology of infectious diseases, antibiotic resistance genes in bacteria. At the moment he is in conducting leadership of Infectious Disease Association and Pediatric Residency Academia Association. He is still the head of Hacettepe University Hospital Pediatric Infectious Disease Division.
