Dr. Moran is a Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at the Yale U. School of Medicine and Director of the Yale Radiation Breast Program in New Haven, CT, USA. She is a board-certified radiation oncologist with expertise in breast cancer and has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers, reviews, and chapters on optimizing local control, standardizing breast cancer care, predictors of local-regional relapse and radiation techniques.

She has been an Associate Editor on the editorial boards of journals including J. Clin Oncol (ASCO), Breast J, Breast Diseases, Int J. Radiat Oncol Biol Phys (ASTRO), and currently, Breast Ca Research Treatment. She was one of the founding board members of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), through the American College of Surgeons (ACoS), and is currently Vice Chair of the NAPBC’s Quality, Information, & Technology (QIT) Committee. She has been on the Breast Panel for the American Board of Radiology (ABR) breast, serving as an oral boards examiner and written boards question developer for more than 10 years.

She has also served on the American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Expert Panel. She co-chaired the Margins Guidelines for Invasive Cancers and for DCIS for Society Surgical Oncology (SSO/ASTRO/ASCO), and has held other prominent positions including co-President of ASCO’s Annual Breast Symposium 2014, Chair of ASTRO’s Annual Meeting Breast Scientific Committee (3-year term), Chair of the Early-Stage Breast Educational Committee at ASTRO’s Annual Meeting (5-year term).

She is currently on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Breast Cancer Panel and continues on the NAPBC board of directors. Most recently, she has been involved in the development of breast cancer guidelines during the 2020 pandemic in her leadership role for the COVID-19 Breast Cancer Consortium.
