Medell Briggs-malonson MD, MPH, MSHS

Medell Briggs, MD, MPH, MSHS is the founder and CEO of Contour Health Solutions, a national clinical advisory firm that partners with health innovators and investors to achieve high performance and profits by implementing technology that improves the quality, safety, and efficiency of medical services. She is board-certified in emergency medicine and has expertise in research, data analytics, Lean-Six Sigma, and technology implementation. Dr. Briggs prides herself on building a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. This has led her to become a nationally recognized healthcare improvement advisor, speaker, and best-selling author.

She has held several hospital executives and department leadership positions including as an executive of a start-up hospital in South Los Angeles that received “HIMSS Stage 7” and “Most Wired” designations. In addition to being an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at David Geffen School of Medicine, she is also the Director of Quality of Emergency Medicine for UCLA Health. Dr. Briggs has received several awards of recognition, including the “Top Healthcare Professionals Under 40” from the National Medical Association. She is a proud alumna of UCLA, Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health, and UCLA School of Public Health.
