Dr. Mazyar Shadman, M.D., M.P.H., is a physician at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and a UW professor of Oncology. Dr. Shadman is a blood and marrow transplant expert who specializes in treating patients with blood disorders. He believes that every patient deserves the highest quality of care, which includes access to novel treatment options for their unique condition.

Dr. Shadman received his M.D. from Tehran University in Iran and his M.P.H. from UW. He was a fellow for the National Cancer Institute’s research training program at Fred Hutch. Dr. Shadman is involved in clinical trials using novel agents for the treatment of blood cancers. He also studies the clinical outcomes of patients who have been treated. His goal is to identify specific characteristics that can help us understand the behavior of the disease and to predict its responsiveness to different treatments.
