Dr. Gallieni is the Director of the Nephrology and Dialysis Unit at Ospedale San Carlo Borromeo in Milan Italy He received his medical degree from the University of Milan Dr. Gallienis main interests include metabolic bone diseases in particular osteodystrophy renal anemia secondary to renal failure vascular access in dialysis and Fabry's disease He currently has collaborations with University of Texas Southwestern Dallas Texas USA vascular accesses University of British Columbia Vancouver Canada vascular calcifications in peritoneal dialysis Dr. Gallieni is a member of the Executive Board of the Vascular Access Society the coordinating editor of the magazine Journal of Vascular Access a member of the editorial board of the following scientific journals Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation Journal of Nephrology Italian Journal of Nephrology Journal of Applied Research.
