Simulation in Dialysis Access (SoDA) is organized by Complete Conference Management (CCM) and would be held on Nov 08, 2017 at Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, San Diego, California, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for surgeons, interventional radiologists, nephrologists, and medical staff who care for dialysis access patients. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 3.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Description :
Simulation in Dialysis Access (SoDA) is an intensive half-day, CME, hands-on dialysis access course that explores best practices in dialysis access. Teaching improved surgical and interventional skills and modeled in-part after the airlines approach to improve flight safety, SoDA is set to take place at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego prior to the start of annual Controversies in Dialysis Access (CiDA) meeting. SoDA, aims to reduce complications and build confidence in physician decision making. Training topics include, cannulation, hemodialyisis, peritoneal dialysis, interventional and surgical tools as well as conduit suture for vascular anastamosis.
Conference Objectives are :
• Recognize the role and value of simulation in training for dialysis access.
• Explain the use and benefits of ultrasound vascular mapping for selection of optimal hemodialysis access surgical success.
• Demonstrate how to perform hemodialysis access angiography and angioplasty.
• Learn the skills of balloon angioplasty and stent placement.
• Determine what tools to use in surgical and interventional access procedures.
• Describe various approaches for the treatment of central thoracic vein obstruction.
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
