Dr. Matthew Schabath is an Assistant Member in the Department of Cancer Epidemiology at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. He received his Ph.D in Epidemiology from the University of Texas in 2003 and has over 17 years of experience studying tobacco-related diseases including lung cancer, bladder cancer, COPD, and heart disease. Dr. Schabath has over 90 peer-reviewed publications, of which over 75% are focused on lung cancer, and is currently leading several research studies related to lung cancer screening and precision-based medicine in lung cancer patient outcomes and treatment response.
