This Conference is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in both men and women, and the most prevalent cause of cancer death in the United States. A comprehensive array of diagnoses and treatment options, including minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgery and access to clinical trials, are important considerations for patients in general. Advances in diagnostic imaging and biomedical research continue to evolve rapidly and it will continue to affect screening and therapeutic procedures and programs. Cost-benefit analysis and public policy implications for coverage and reimbursement will also play a significant role in these.
