Dr. Mary Ganguli, an expert on the epidemiology of late-life psychiatric disorders, has been presented with the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award for Research by the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. The award honors Dr. Ganguli's significant scientific contributions and impacts on the field of neurocognitive disorders.
Dr. Ganguli obtained her medical degree from the Christian Medical College in India and a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests focus on the epidemiology of the aging brain and late-life mental health disorders, particularly cognitive impairment, and dementia. Her work has been continuously funded since 1986 by awards from the National Institute on Aging.
