Martin Bocks, MD, is Director of Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at The Congenital Heart Collaborative and the division of Pediatric Cardiology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. He also has a secondary appointment within University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. Dr. Bocks is an Associate Professor, Pediatric Cardiology, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Bocks is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology and Internal Medicine. His special interests include transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation and endovascular therapies for congenital heart defects in children and adults. His research interests include pediatric medical device development with particular emphasis on bioresorbable technologies for cardiac catheterization procedures and developing a wireless implantable pressure monitoring system. He was named to the medical staff at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in 2016.

Dr. Bocks has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and serves in a review capacity for several periodicals. Dr. Bocks earned a Bachelor’s degree of science in Biology from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit. As a medical student he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed residency in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics and fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and his other professional memberships include the American Heart Association, Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, American Society of Artificial Internal Organs (ASAIO), and the Society for Pediatric Research.
