Martin Gross BDS, LDS, MSc

Professor Martin Gross is an educator, researcher, and specialist in Oral Rehabilitation and Sculptor. He is currently involved in clinical research and his private practice. His parents emigrated from Nazi Germany in 1938. After spending his childhood in Nairobi, Kenya, the family moved to England. In 1960, he received his education in London and graduated from BDS, LDS at the Guys Hospital Dental School, University of London, UK (1971).

He obtained his Master's in Prosthodontics at Northwestern University Dental School, Chicago in 1974. He started his private practice in London, working as a Registrar at Guys Hospital, London, UK. Since 1977 he has settled in Israel. As a Prosthodontics Specialist during 1978-2009, he worked in the Departments of Occlusion and Department of Prosthodontics at the Dental School of Tel Aviv University. He continued to work at Tel Aviv University as an Associate Clinical Professor in Oral Rehabilitation and Director of the Postgraduate Specialty Program TAU (1997-2009).

He is a member of several national and international professional associations. He served as President of the International College of Prosthodontists (ICP), from 2011-2013. His research work has long materialized through the publication of numerous reference articles on various aspects of Prosthetic Dentistry. He has recently published a substantive book titled The Science and Art of Occlusion and Oral Rehabilitation (Quintessence, 2015), in which he shares his rich clinical and research experience with his concept of functionalized and integrated dental restorations.
