Martin Dachsel MD

Dr Dachsel was appointed consultant in Acute and General Medicine in November 2015. He is responsible for inpatients on in the Acute Medical Unit and the Acute Surgical Unit.
He graduated from Dresden University, Germany in 2001. He moved to the UK in 2003, after completion of his MD in stroke research. He subsequently underwent training in Emergency Medicine in the NHS and received his higher specialist training in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery in October 2015.
His special interests are the assessment of the acutely unwell patient with Point of Care Ultrasound, the interface between Emergency, Acute and Intensive Care medicine, sepsis treatment and medical education.
