Dr. Mariasavina Severino was born in Mirano (Venice) in 1981. She has received her Medical Degree at the University of Padua in 2005 with the thesis “Role of myocardial perfusion scintigraphy in pediatric patients with cardiac malformations”. During medical school, she spent six months in the Neurology Department at the Henri Mondor Hospital in Paris. From 2005 and 2009 she was resident in Radiology at the University of Padua, spending six months as an out-of program registrar at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, under the supervision of Dr. Kling Chong.

Since 2010 she has a clinical position at Gaslini Research Institute, Genoa, Italy and has focused her clinical research on the following topics: imaging of rare conditions, neonatal imaging, and imaging of pediatric stroke. Dr. Severino has authored and co-authored 100 papers, 12 book chapters, and was awarded for several best oral presentations at national and international congresses. She is an invited speaker to national and international courses, such as the ECNR, ECPNR, ESOR and Erasmus courses, and to congresses such as the annual ASNR, ESNR and AINR meetings.
