Marcel Ivanov MD, PhD, MSC, FRCS

Mr Marcel Ivanov is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon whose NHS practice is based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. He qualified as a doctor in 1999 and as a Neurosurgeon in 2007 with his comprehensive neurosurgical training received in Romania and post CCT Fellowship training in the UK. He was awarded Neurosurgery International Fellowship training at the UIHC, Iowa, USA (2004, and received AOSPINE-EANS Spinal Fellowship training in Leeds, UK (2008) and Neuroncology Fellowship training at the Walton Centre, Liverpool, UK (2009).

During his training he visited some of the most important European neurosurgical units as part of the EU "Leonardo da Vinci" training programme (In Freiburg, Greifswald, Munich, Brussels, Helsinki etc) where he had a great opportunity to learn directly from the experience of world leading neurosurgeons.
